Organisational Planning, Development and EvaluationIntersect’s consultancy work aims to assist in developing
the capacity of the non-government sector of community services.
Examples of successful collaborative ventures undertaken have been:
• Policy and procedure development in line with Quality Standards and Compliance Standards for DSQ, HACC and Dept Child Safety – feedback – “we passed our Quality audit with no non-compliants and a special mention for the high standard of our policies and procedures” (Hinterland Community Care, 2006)
• Strategic Planning – the process of integrated organisational planning from initial preparation, consultation with stakeholders, group facilitation and write-up of the organisation’s goals and objectives for the future. A user friendly document (plan) is generated which links in with other relevant organisational management tools such as funding agreements, outcome targets and position descriptions.
• Organisational reviews – at the request of either the funding body or the agency itself, a full or partial review can be conducted looking at issues such as funding compliance, relevance of written policies, management of human resources and governance issues.
